Happy Fourth of July to all Americans

Independence Day is an occasion which is celebrated every year by Americans. Independence Day is one of the most recognized national holidays in the world, as it celebrates the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Declaring that the then 13 nations were no longer beholden to British rule (then King George III), besides it is celebrated as the day America was able to earn its freedom and set in stone its rules as a sovereign nation.
In fact, the Independence Day was not on July 4, but instead it was on July 2 when the Continental Congress approved the legal separation of the 13 colonies from Great Britain.

The story behind the Independence Day shows how important it is to the Americans. The whole story started in 1587 when Britain started to exploit America’s different resources. Consequently, tensions started to rise between the British and the Americans, and the representatives from each of the 13 colonies decided to come together and fight the colonizers. Accordingly, that led Americans to declare a war of independence against Britain, and led to America’s full independence from Britain in 1776.

And today, Independence Day is celebrated with patriotic displays and summer-themed events. One of the nation’s federal holidays, it’s celebrated by people across the country with parties, picnics and barbecues. Friends and families gather amid a flurry of red, white and blue, waving flags and setting off fireworks to a chorus of The Star Spangled Banner. At military bases across the country, a gun for each of the United States is fired at noon.
With everywhere and almost everyone participating in some kind of celebration, it’s pretty hard to be in the states and not take part in the holiday.

An event like the Independence Day highlights two important things. The first thing is the core of the Americans beliefs and how Americans love their country. Besides how strong is the United States, which explains why it is considered the world’s most powerful country or in other words the world’s only superpower, for dominating the world’s economic and political systems, despite the fact that the United States had completely collapsed financially, at least twice and probably three times in the late 1890s and early 1900s.

But America succeeded in overcoming this ordeal and became stronger than ever. That’s why only a few countries dare to oppose America’s political agenda or challenge its people, as they are considered more powerful than any other nation.
