Independence Day, which is also referred as the Fourth of July, is the day that ranks the independence of the United States of America from the British Empire after signing a document called the “Declaration of Independence.” Thus, that was the first time for the United States of American to have the opportunity to gain its freedom and independence since 1587.

It all started when Britain started to exploit America’s different resources. Consequently, tensions started to rise between the British and the Americans, and the representatives from each of the 13 colonies decided to come together and fight the colonizers. Accordingly, that led Americans to declare a war of independence against Britain, and led to America’s full independence from Britain in 1776.

And since then, the Americans continued to commemorate Independence Day every year in rituals full of victory, glory, and freedom. That’s why the Independence Day is not only historically important for Americans, but it has also become a huge holiday celebration with parties and events across the country in every state.

The day is usually associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues and picnics, as well as family reunions and baseball games. Thus, it is an excuse or in other words, to go out and celebrate what makes the United States, well.

Most of the American citizens go out to enjoy watching these celebrations with their beloved ones. While some people prefer to spend the day at their homes, watching some patriotic movies, while others prefer travelling somewhere to visit their families to celebrate and enjoy the celebrations of this day all together.

But for the employees a federal holiday like the Independence Day is considered a great opportunity to use one or more of their vacations days to create a long weekend so that they can escape the heat at their favorite beach or vacation spot.

To sum up, a war like the Revolutionary War basically highlights two important things.

The first thing is the core of the Americans beliefs and how Americans love their country. Besides how strong is the United States, which explains why it is considered the world’s most powerful country or in other words the world’s only superpower, for dominating the world’s economic and political systems. That’s why few countries dare to oppose America’s political agenda or challenge its people, because they are more powerful than any other nation.
